RE: Questions about Taxes and Withdrawals
@jack The thresholds you mentioned do not determine whether you owe taxes on your betting profits; they only set the reporting requirements for platforms like betting sites and payment processors to send information to the IRS. Here’s a clearer breakdown:
Tax Obligation:
In the U.S., all gambling winnings are taxable, regardless of the amount. You are required to report all your profits on your tax return, even if the platform doesn’t report them to the IRS.
Reporting Thresholds:
For 2024, platforms will issue tax forms (e.g., 1099-K) for gambling-related transactions if your total winnings exceed $5,000.
For 2025, the threshold drops to $2,500.
Starting in 2026, the threshold reduces further to $600.
So, even if your winnings are below these thresholds, you are still legally obligated to report them and pay taxes. The thresholds simply dictate when the platform will notify the IRS directly about your winnings. -
RE: Offers available in a different state
@jack If you are physically in a state, you can bet on the bookmakers licensed in that state.

RE: How to deposit $ on the bookmakers?
@rakewell I managed to deposit little amounts with credit cards. Most times it got rejected (chase, wells fargo, citi, bank of america). What has always worked best for me is depositing with venmo or bank account directly.

@aaronbaldwin611 thanks for letting us know. Our developers are working on it

RE: Caution on Refund Betting (Bet365)
@KansaiFixer you are 100% right. That's not a small event. But tennis is seen as a very "fraud" prone sport. There are a lot of spotters live at the game.
At the same time I will never understand how they allow bookmakers to limit users. It's like "all you can eat" restaurants that discriminate on who can eat too much. -
RE: Fan Duel not working on Dutcher
@aaronbaldwin611 I see the odds for all the sports now but our developers are checking if there is any issue. Just to be sure, if it happens again can you try filtering by sport on the left? The ratings might be lower on other sports and are not showing in the first page.

RE: New to NinjaBet? Introduce yourself to the Community :)
@MikeJordan96 are you doing surebets? If yes, then you can do it until they limit you. What you should do is alternate surebets with "normal" bets where you cover youself and lose a little bit. What I mean is place surebet (Rating over 100% in dutcher) with higher bet amounts. But also place some bets with rating lower than 100% with lower bet amounts. So you look more like a legit user and not just as an arber.

RE: Questions about Taxes and Withdrawals
Bookmakers will know how much you made net on their site. Don’t worry. Your taxes are due on the net profit.

RE: Questions about Taxes and Withdrawals
Hi @hydrokube ! You are taxed only on your net winnings if they are more than 600$. The bookmakers will send you a 1099. But you are only taxed on your net profit
You can read here for example https://turbotax.intuit.com/tax-tips/general/tax-considerations-for-fantasy-sports-fans/L75xYecdS -
RE: Making money without offers
It will only work if there is a surebet (rating over 100%). Read this guide https://www.ninjabet.com/guide11

RE: [Expired]Welcome BetMGM • 100% Refund up to 1000$
@lavenderlilac place 5 bets on BetMGM on the same event (same bet). Then you can cover with one large bet on bookmaker 2 to cover all the 5 BetMGM bets.
-
RE: [Expired]Welcome BetMGM • 100% Refund up to 1000$
@rcordova6 you can do either way. The fastest way is to place the large bet on the bookmaker 2 to cover all 5 freebets. But you can also place the bets one by one.

@rcordova6 you're welcome. We are here for any question

RE: [Expired]Welcome Betway • 100% Refund up to 250$
@rcordova6 I'll explain it using your numbers so it will be more clear.
Your back bet 2 was supposed to be $496.18 but you only managed to bet $406.25. This means that you only covered for 406.25 / 496.18 x 100 = 81.9%
This means that the remaining 18.1% is not covered (100% - 81.9%).
Your back bet 1 is of $250. The 18.1% of $250 is $45.25.
This last one is the amount that you didnt cover from the back bet 1. So we go put it in the calculator with the odds from the third bookmaker and we see how much to go bet on the third bookmaker. Look at it as a separate bet.
In the screen I selected the real money mode but you can apply the same logic to any mode.
