      A surebet is a set of odds at different sportsbooks that lets you cover every outcome of the same event and still finish with a locked margin.

      You're not trying to guess the winner. One bet wins and the other loses, which is normal: what counts is the result of the whole operation.

      Example: one sportsbook prices one side of a 2-way market at +110 and another prices the other side at +110 too. With the right stakes on both, you get back more than you wagered whichever side wins.
