Why do surebets exist at all?
-
Because sportsbooks don't always agree. They use different models, update their odds at different speeds, react differently to betting activity, and sometimes are simply slow to move or make a pricing mistake.
When one sportsbook is high on one outcome and another is high on the opposite one, and the gap is big enough, a surebet appears.
Sportsbooks don't want them, so they rarely last. Be ready to act fast, and if the price changes before you bet, recalculate or skip: a missed surebet is better than a badly placed one.
